FSU chancellor to speak at Chamber’s Coffee Club

The Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman's Coffee Club will meet face-to-face at 7:30 a.m. June 24 at the Aevex Veterans Club at Segra Stadium, 460 Hay St. in Fayetteville.

The Chairman’s Coffee Club is traditionally conducted as an informal breakfast with a guest speaker or panel focused on issues related to the region’s business community.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Darrell T. Allison, the 12th chancellor of Fayetteville State University.

Allison began his duties in March.

The 1994 graduate of North Carolina Central University has a history of working to provide educational opportunities for North Carolina’s underserved families, as well as those from  across the nation.

Prior to his post at FSU, Allison served as vice president of Governmental Affairs and State Teams at the American Federation for Children. In that role he led “advocacy programs and generated philanthropic support while developing effective partnerships for the organization,” according to information released by FSU.
