This year, Sampson County Economic Development Commission is presenting an Education and Workforce Series in response to workforce challenges local companies continue to face.

The first guest will be Kimberly Williams, founder and CEO of North Carolina for Military Employment on Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. NC4ME was created in 2015 in an effort to establish NC as the number one state for military employment. NC4ME focuses on employer demand for jobs and supports military talent. The organization is eager to connect veterans with good-paying opportunities.

Local companies that have open positions at or above $18 per hour with benefits are encouraged to attend so that they may gain valued contacts and employees from this event.

The presentation will be conducted at Sampson County Administration Building, 406 County Complex Rd., Clinton, NC (Building C).  Afterward, a networking lunch will be provided to attendees.

Anyone planning to attend can let the organizers of the event know by calling their office at 910-592-8921 or emailing Brandie Mae Grubb at bgrubb@sampsonedc.com.
