Post-pandemic resources abound to help businesses

Businesses across North Carolina are slowly starting to recover post-pandemic, but for companies who find themselves needing a boost to go back to normal, resources abound. Getting plugged in to new opportunities is easy, thanks to several hardworking, local organizations. 

 

The Center for Economic Empowerment and Development/Women’s Business Center of Fayetteville 

CEED aims to be a resource and advocate for businesses throughout the region. The nonprofit provides a $10 million per year impact to the Sandhills, according to their website, by offering an abundance of tools and resources for business owners; some of these include one-on-one counseling, assistance with business plans, specialized workshops, job creation, and referrals, to name a few. 

The Women’s Business Center runs through CEED and equips entrepreneurs with financial literacy, consultations, workshops and more.

Small Business and Technology Development Center at Fayetteville State University

Located at the FSU campus, this business center serves a variety of counties: Bladen, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Moore, Richmond, Sampson and Scotland. By offering generalized business services, such as research or marketing assistance, and more targeted services to meet the needs of a variety of verticals, the SBTDC makes sure that local entrepreneurs are set up for success.

Greater Fayetteville Chamber

One popular means of getting involved in the business community is Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, but the best way to get the most out of a membership is to stay plugged in to their happenings. Through their various events and programs, business owners can be sure to stay in the loop on what’s happening in their community.

The Small Business Center at Fayetteville Technical Community College 

Seminars on grant writing, tax deductions, business, social media and marketing are just a few of the many recent offerings at the SBC at FTCC. The organization’s events and workshops offer meaningful advice and networking opportunities in the region. Whether a person is a budding entrepreneur or maintaining or expanding a business, the Small Business Center offers a wealth of information and pushes businesspeople to succeed.

Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub/SEEN

The Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub is part of the UNC Pembroke School of Business. 

Inside of the sleek, state-of-the-art facility at Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub at UNC Pembroke, a coworking space, the Jumpstart Accelerator Program and a calendar filled with seminars that offer certifications, trainings, and valuable advice await. Mentorship opportunities and access to professional consulting are also available.

Sandhills Entrepreneurship Engagement Network
