NC IT Job Trends Report for July: Fayetteville shows increase in IT Tech job postings

The NC Technology Association has released its monthly breakdown of available IT positions across the state.

While other metropolitan areas experienced a significant decrease in IT job postings during the previous month, Fayetteville reported 1,516 IT jobs for July of 2022. This is a five percent increase in IT job postings from July 2021. For the state as a whole, IT job postings were up nine percent from July 2021.

“The IT industry continues to remain strong in North Carolina as is evident by the job posting trends. Even with the dip in July 2022, IT job postings are still up 9 percent over July 2021 figures, and over 60 percent since July 2020,” Director of Talent and Workforce Development for the North Carolina Technology Association Andrea Fleming shared.

These monthly reports serve to foster growth and innovation in the tech industry. The company also curates a separate graphic of the thirteenth-month chart of open IT positions in North Carolina which can be found on their website.

“The NC TECH IT Job Trends data can assist both job seekers and employers in their decision making. The trends in posted openings is only one element of the report,”said Flemming. “Looking at the top 10 lists for titles and credentials can help guide job seekers who may be looking to boost their skills. For employers, looking at the top hirers in the state can help shape recruitment plans around their top competitors,” said Fleming.
