The North Carolina Technology Association will host a virtual Tech Job Expo Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
“NC TECH is pleased to host our final Tech Job Expo of 2022, especially among headlines of layoffs and hiring freezes. It's great to share an opportunity to directly connect seekers with companies that are hiring. For the upcoming event, we have 20 companies collectively sharing openings for over 1,000 positions. The event is free for job seekers, and as it is online, it’s much more accessible than an in person event,” shared Director of Talent + Workforce Development Andrea Fleming.
Job seekers will visit virtual booths to learn more about each employer, view/apply for job vacancies and connect live with recruiters during the event. Employers will showcase their organization, post job vacancies, connect via chat or video with seekers during the event, access resumes, view reports on the traffic to their booth and follow up with candidates post-event.
The following employers will be participating in the event:
The day before, Tuesday, Oct. 4, there will be two virtual Meet the Employer Sessions featuring First Citizens Bank and MetLife.
First Citizens Bank will share more information on the growth and future of the bank and what their recruiting teams look for in IT associates. Their session will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
MetLife will host their session from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees can get to know several MetLife senior leaders and engineers in this panel session hosted by MetLife Chief Data and Analytics Officer Robin Gordon and Global CIO Pawan Verma. The group will discuss the company’s digital transformation journey and the work they are doing that is redefining the insurance industry.
Registration is free for job seekers. Individuals can register online at the Tech Job Expo event page: https://www.nctech.org/events/event/2022/tech-job-expo-october.html
