Defense Alliance of North Carolina enters collaborative partnership with the Institute for Defense and Business

The Defense Alliance of North Carolina has announced a collaborative partnership with the Institute for Defense and Business. Both DANC and IDB play an important role in providing information, connections and networking opportunities to build relationships and promote educational programs across North Carolina. 

This partnership comes following the March 2022 Quarterly Executive Board chaired by Lt. Gen. Brilakis, USMC (Ret). President of IDB, and Lt. Gen. William “Mark” Faulkner, USMC (Ret) provided a brief to the board.  Executive Director Tammy Everett and Mike Bogdahn, USMC Depot Deputy Commander (Ret), IDB Senior Client Relations Director drafted a PARTNER agreement that was vetted and approved enhancing the relationship between the North Carolina’s military, business and academic community. 

“It is the objective of the Defense Alliance of North Carolina to leverage this opportunity into an expanded and ongoing relationship between DANC and the Institute for Defense and Business to support the defense economy of North Carolina,” shared Brilakis in a press release. 

“We at IDB are excited about the opportunities that accompany a stronger relationship with the Defense Alliance of NC.  This is truly a win-win for both organizations with greater growth and networking opportunities through increased visibility of our mutually supportive missions,” said Faulkner in a press release. “This partnership will greatly enhance the current relationship by promotion, co-branding, advocacy, educational awareness and collaboration,” 

The DANC Management Council incoming President, John Bellamy, Assistant Director, FSU Center for Defense and Homeland Security will assist the implementation efforts through a variety of actions.

Both organizations say their mission with this partnership is to Grow North Carolina’s defense economy in a way that creates new long-term investments and job opportunities.
