Cape Fear Valley welcomes new executive director for Harnett Health Foundation

Cape fear Valley Health recently named a new executive director for the Harnett Health Foundation.

Scott Childers was welcomed into the Cape Fear Health family in late October, and will help build philanthropic support in and around Harnett County.

Childers is a Certified Fundraising Executive with over 35 years of experience in healthcare fundraising.

Most recently, Childers served as Senior Director of Development for the School of Medicine at University of Louisville in Kentucky. He has also held Chief Development Officer roles for the largest healthcare systems in Louisiana and Kentucky, and led Children's Miracle Network programs at two major hospital systems.

Childers holds a B.A. and M.Ed. from University of North Texas.
