County hosting information session for nonprofits interested in requesting ARP funding

Cumberland County has scheduled an information session for nonprofit organizations curious about applying for assistance through the County’s Nonprofit Fiscal Recovery Assistant Program for Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.

The Cumberland County Nonprofit Fiscal Recovery Assistance Program invites nonprofit organizations to apply for up to $50,000 in direct assistance to reimburse organization expenses related to:

• Payroll, including wages and associated payroll taxes

• Occupancy, which includes rental lease payments, mortgage (for organization property) and utilities

The information session will include a question-and-answer period with County staff. It will be held virtually and the session will be recorded and posted to the County’s website for those who are unable to attend.

Immediately following the information session, the application will become available on the County’s website at https://www.cumberlandcountync.gov/departments/commissioners-group/commissioners/american-rescue-plan.

As part of this program, the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners has approved a policy that allows for the creation of a program to provide financial assistance to 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(19) nonprofit organizations.
