Fayetteville sees 64% increase in IT job postings in November

The NC Technology Association has released its monthly snapshot of available IT positions for November.

According to data recently published by NC TECH, the Fayetteville MSA showed a 64 percent increase in job postings for the month of November when comparing this year's job postings with last year’s. While other, larger MSA’s such as Raleigh and Charlotte saw a decrease in IT job postings this November compared to last, Fayetteville stayed in the green displaying the fourth greatest increase out of the 13 MSA’s reported on. Fayetteville recorded 1,388 IT job postings for November.

“November IT job postings dipped to the 2nd lowest for 2022, just after October figures hit a peak,” said Director of Talent and Workforce Development at NC TECH Andrea Fleming in a press release. “Could this month be a return to pre-Covid trends for Q4 to dip before rebounding in January? North Carolina tech company layoffs have been in the media recently, but job postings are still at strong levels. When reviewing the trends over the past four years, 2022 has had a monthly average of 34,994 job postings, where 2021 averaged 30,486. 2020 and 2019 were both around 26,000. The trend line is still moving upward.”
