Runway Extravaganza returns to Fayetteville for 13th year

The Fayetteville community is cordially invited to a night of fashion, fun and live music while supporting women in the community and women business owners all in one.
The 2023 “You Won't Break My Soul Runway Extravaganza” is returning to the Crown Complex this Saturday Jan. 7 at 6:00 pm.
Hosted by An Affair to Remember Prom, Pageant and Formal Wear and nonprofit group Women of Power, the event will feature the latest in formal wear fashion modeled by 100 young girls and women of all ages and recognizable Women of Power who have made an impact in and around Fayetteville in the business community and beyond.
This will be the 13th year for the event and the fashion show will feature live music from musical group “Sleeping Booty”, and the latest from top formal wear designers like JOVANI, Sherri Hill, Ashley Lauren, Jonathan Kayne, Tarik Ediz, Ellie Wilde, and more. Special Guests will also include Jovani Design Director Julie Durocher, Beauty Pageant Coach Bill Alverson and Runway Show Director Mariana Verkerk.
“It's just a great way to support your community and support the women that are up there. There'll be a 12-piece band, so there'll be dancing, it'll be a great time. It's not like you're just sitting there watching dresses, it's a community event,” said show and Women of Power Founder and AATR owner Kathy Keefe Jensen.
A portion of the proceeds raised at the show will also go to The Center for Economic Empowerment & Development, formerly known as the Women’s Center of Fayetteville, who have been longtime partners and collaborators with the event. Along with marketing, CEED also helps provide influential Women of Power from the community to be both models and role models and connect with young girls. Proceeds raised will go towards business support events like HERWeek, and other endeavors organized by CEED aimed at supporting local businesses throughout the year.
“I think you don't want to be the person that's looking at the photos after and saying, I wish I was there, that we hear that so often,” said CEED Executive Director Suzanna Hrabovsky “Don't hesitate, you know, participate, be a part of it, be a part of something that is isa continuation it's not something that just you go to and it ends this has a prolonged effect.”
