West Preserve is a new residential community coming soon to Northwestern Harnett County.  The neighborhood is located in a quiet, rural setting 16 miles north of Spring Lake and five miles south of Sanford, North Carolina, with easy access to Highway 87.  Developed by Weaver Homes, West Preserve includes 54 single family lots, with the first homes starting construction in the spring of 2023.

Weaver Homes has a long history of home building in North Carolina.  Frank Weaver founded the company in 1980 with a goal of building quality homes that stand the test of time.  Since then, the company has put thousands of families in new homes throughout Eastern North Carolina.  And 43 years later Frank Weaver is still at the helm, sharing his vision and shaping the culture of Weaver Homes.

The West Preserve neighborhood, situated on McDougald Road, is one mile East of Highway 87, which is a major North-South corridor running between Sanford and Fayetteville/Fort Bragg. “Drive times are reasonable,” stated Weaver in a press release, “so you can work in Fayetteville or Raleigh, but live away from the city pressure.”

According to Weaver Homes General Manager Dustin Blackwell, the location of the neighborhood is intentional. “West Preserve is ideal for families looking for a relaxed, rural atmosphere, but who still value the community feel of a planned development,” stated Blackwell in a press release.

Lot sizes in the neighborhood range from one-half acre all the way up to 1.5 acres. The development also boasts high-speed fiber optic internet service. Marketing for West Preserve is handled by Tony Weaver with Property Pros Group and Coldwell Banker Advantage.

“There will be more of these types of neighborhoods coming. We want to continue to have a nice rural setting and [bring] a community feel to that, and a place where we can build a high quality home for an affordable price,” shared Weaver Companies Director of Business Development Bob Hales.
