New Fayetteville coffee shop supports mission of local nonprofit

The Miller’s Brew Coffee Shop is the new brick and mortar training center for Miller’s Crew located at 1401 Morganton Road.
Miller’s Brew is the third and final phase of the nonprofit organization Miller’s Crew which was started in 2016 by Kim Molnar and her husband Karl.
“Miller’s Brew is a coffee shop that trains adults with special needs and we will train them based on whatever their goals and objectives are to make them more employable. They can stay here and end up working at Miller's Brew. Or we can work with their future employer and see if we can teach them the skill set they need to maintain that employment,” explained Executive Director of Miller’s Crew Kim Molnar.
Miller’s Brew is designed to teach individuals with special needs in the way that they learn.
“It’s always been in my head since 2016. And it is such an overwhelming but exciting feeling to actually have something come to life that you’ve worked so hard for and you didn’t really know if it was ever going to happen, but it’s here…it’s a fabulous feeling, knowing that whatever was in my head in my heart for that amount of time has come completely full circle into fruition,” remarked Molnar.
Miller’s Brew will host their grand opening this Saturday, Feb. 18. They’ll serve coffee, smoothies, milkshakes and pastries from Superior Bakery.
The coffee shop will operate Tuesday-Saturday with weekday hours being 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday hours being 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
