Fiber Homes partners with North Carolina Regional MLS to help agents better serve clients

Fiber Homes, the leading source of broadband availability data for the real estate industry, recently announced a new integration with the North Carolina Regional Multiple Listing Service, one of the largest Multiple Listing Services in the state.

Bladen, Moore, Robeson and Sampson Counties are four of the 41 North Carolina counties covered by the NCRMLS.

Through this integration, real estate agents and brokers using NCRMLS can now access Fiber Homes and easily generate broadband property reports that they can brand themselves directly through the NCRMLS platform. This will enable agents to provide their clients with the most accurate and up-to-date information on broadband availability at any residential listing. 

“Fiber Homes just makes our job a lot easier. And it brings attention to the fact that we are aware of what buyers are looking for in today’s home shopping experience and that is ‘Hey, can I work from home? Can I work virtually? If I build a house out in rural Richmond County, or out in Eastover, am I going to be able to have internet?’ and it just allows us to have that knowledge to help our clients make those decisions for themselves,” shared Kristi Snyder, Broker/Owner, Everything Pines Partners, LLC.

According to Homebuyers’ 5G & Connectivity Needs, Morning Consult and Verizon, 9 in 10 prospective home buyers say that infrastructure to support fast internet is an important consideration when searching for a home. That’s why integrating broadband availability databases into MLSs has become a key tool to provide agents and brokers with the information they need to support their clients.

“Any place that we are preparing to move our buyers, [if we] don’t know what the speed of their internet network is or even what providers are available in the area, with a click of a button we can get this complete printout of everything that’s offered in the area and the speed, and this used to take us hours, we’d have to call each independent internet network and we’d wait online, and then they’d have to run tests and get back to us. And now it’s literally a comprehensive click of the button,” added Snyder.  

“This new cooperation reduces the headaches of searching for the home’s internet speed for REALTORS®,” said NCRMLS CEO Daniel Jones in a press release. “Access to reliable high-speed internet is more important than ever, and this integration will help our agents better serve their clients by giving them the information they need to make informed decisions.”
