Cumberland County recognizes longest serving female county employee

The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners recognized Vivian Tookes of the Department of Social Services as the longest-serving female Cumberland County Government employee.

Tookes was hired on Oct. 1, 1982, as an Eligibility Specialist with DSS and has worked for #CumberlandCountyNC for over 40 years. She currently serves as the Division Director of Economic Services at DSS.

Tookes was recognized briefly during the commissioners’ regularly scheduled meeting on March 20.
