Fayetteville Deputy Airport Director appointed to the SEC-AAAE Board of Directors

Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY) Deputy Airport Director, Deontae K. Watson, has been appointed to the Board of Directors to the Southeast Chapter of American Association of Airport Executives (SEC-AAAE). Watson was recently installed at the 2023 SEC-AAAE Annual Conference in Richmond, VA. 

The SEC-AAAE is the largest chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives with more than 600 members, representing 12 states including the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia. The chapter strives to promote stability, growth, efficiency, and safety for the benefit of the public, airport management, and general aviation. Watson is also a Board Member at the North Carolina Airports Association where he works with a group of airport professionals to elevate the success of North Carolina airports.

As the Deputy Airport Director at FAY, Watson is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of airport operations, planning & development, finance & administration, facilities, and public administration. He has been in this position since April 2021.
