Elizabeth Krige selected as new town manager for Town of Angier

The Town of Angier has announced the selection of Elizabeth Krige as its new Town Manager.

Krige, who is currently serving as the Town Manager for the Town of Catawba, will assume her new position on July 5. 

“The Town of Angier is excited to have a talented and engaging new Town Manager, who hales from the western part of the state,” said Mayor Bob Smith in a press release. “She has previously served the Town of Catawba and Catawba County and brings with her her young son Warner and will join us here in early July. Welcome, Elizabeth.”

Triangle J Council of Governments and Mid Carolina Regional Council assisted with the recruitment process for the Town of Angier.

Krige has a background in public administration, previously working in the County Manager's office for Catawba County as Clerk and HR Officer for the Town of Maiden. She also has a decade of private sector experience with UnitedHealth Group. Krige holds a Master of Public Administration degree and Bachelor of Political Science and Communication from Appalachian State University.

Krige is most looking forward to becoming a part of a vibrant and growing community. “Angier is full of opportunities and I am excited to work with the Board of Commissioners, building on the positive framework they have laid,” she said in a press release.

Krige is excited to begin her new role and looks forward to meeting the residents and business owners of Angier.
