Cumberland Sheriff’s Office to host hiring event July 19

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office will host a hiring event on July 19 with same-day interviews being offered for positions such as Detention Officer, Detention Officer Cadet, Deputy Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Cadet. The hiring event will be take place at the NC WORKS office located at 490 N. McPherson Church Road, Fayetteville, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Cumberland County is offering a $2,500 signing bonus for newly hired deputies and detention officers upon academy graduation.

The primary goal of this event is to connect job seekers with career opportunities within the Sheriff’s Office. Eligible applicants who are unable to attend but interested in working with the Sheriff’s Office can go to ccsonc.org/join-the-ccso/ for more information.
