Great Grandsons Meat & 3 now open in Fayetteville

Great Grandsons, a southern food specialty restaurant that originated in Lumber Bridge, North Carolina is now available to residents of Fayetteville following the grand opening of their newest location at 2309 Gillespie St on July 25.

The quick service fast food style restaurant is a spinoff of the famous Fred Chason’s Grandsons Buffet brand that is well known in the region.

In a video posted on the location’s Facebook page on July 24, the management acknowledges the community’s anticipation of the comfort food restaurant and thanks them for their patience as they finished up last minute details.

“We want to thank you for your support. Numerous customers stopped by while we were preparing for this day. As a family establishment we cannot tell you how thankful we are for you.

Now we can’t wait for you to come in (or go through the drive thru) and get some southern cooking,” said the video caption.

The restaurant will be open from Tuesday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m for Breakfast and 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. for lunch and dinner.

“We are closed Sundays and Mondays so that our associates can have quality time with their families,” reads the video caption.

The breakfast menu includes southern favorites like biscuits and gravy, sausage plates, grits, and more. The classic “meat and three” menu is available for lunch and dinner, with plates featuring your choice of meat such as BBQ, fried chicken, pork chops and more, two sides and a roll or hushpuppies, along with a multitude of sides and desserts to choose from.
