ACHIEVERS: Wadie new at Cape Fear Valley

In June, Dr. George Wadie, M.D., joined Cape Fear Valley Pediatric General Surgery.

Wadie attended medical school at Cairo University School of Medicine, in Cairo, Egypt, before completing his residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. He then completed a pediatric general surgery fellowship at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Wadie has been a pediatric surgeon for more than 13 years. He started his practice in Eugene, Oregon, in 2007. ​In 2011, he moved to the Raleigh area where he has since performed hundreds of pediatric surgeries.

Wadie specializes in minimally invasive surgery, neonatal surgery, gastrointestinal surgery and the management of pilonidal disease.
