Mary Mack's, the leading manufacturer of shaved ice and snow cone syrup in the U.S. is currently in the process of bringing a new production facility to Clinton, N.C.
Founded in 1995 by Gary Mac Herring, Jr., the company originally began as a Hawaiian Shaved Ice stand in Newton Grove, N.C. and has expanded into offering Hawaiian Shaved Ice brand syrups as well as home and commercial shaved ice and snow cone machines, cotton candy machines, popcorn machines, and their accessories.
Now, the company has grown its customer base and is in the process of bringing its third location into a new 60,000-square-foot production facility located at 214 Armory Road in Clinton.
To keep up with increasing demand due to its e-commerce presence, the company is relocating their 40 employees to the new location from their Newton Grove location which currently spans 24,000-square-feet.
“We've been very successful in the E-commerce world. We're the number one distributor and manufacturer of anything dealing with shaved ice and snow cone syrups. Our premium syrups are made here in Newton Grove, North Carolina right now in our manufacturing facility,” shared Mary Mack’s Director of Marketing Jennifer Naylor. “We really want to create that nostalgia and bring back those memories from when you were a child. Who doesn't love a good snowcone?”
The current facility in Newton Grove, NC, will transition into a distribution center, working in tandem with their existing 160,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center, supporting the organization's long-term growth objectives including opening up brick and mortar storefronts for their products which can already be found in local stores in and around the Clinton area.
The expansion is expected to double their production capabilities and machines are being moved to the new facility which is expected to open in the fall of 2023.
The Mary Mack’s team also shared there are early plans to celebrate the new facility with a ribbon cutting when the time comes.
