A long time Fayetteville hotspot for Southern Style BBQ has announced they will be closing their doors at the end of August 2023.
Fowler’s Barbecue, located at 723 West Rowan Street in Fayetteville, has been serving the community since 2017. The restaurant announced on their Facebook page on Aug. 2 that their doors would permanently close on Aug. 26.
The restaurant is known for its half- pound brisket burgers, ribs, brisket burnt ends, house made bottled BBQ sauces and more.
While no specific reason was given for the decision to close, the post took time to thank the community and invite them to dine in one more time before the team ceases operations.
“It saddens us to have to make this announcement, but circumstances have led to a difficult decision. Fowler's Barbecue Restaurant will permanently cease operations on August 26th,” reads the Facebook post. “We appreciate all the support you have given us over the years and all the friends that we have made. We hope you will take the chance to come by and dine with us a couple of times before we close. Also, we would like you to own a reminder of us, so we will have T-shirts and our sauces for sale. Thank you again for the outpouring of support you have given us over the years.”
Currently, the restaurant’s social media pages on Instagram and Facebook are still active, and the team is still posting daily specials. You can see the full goodbye post on Facebook here.
