Fourth annual Food Safety Forum to be held Aug. 16 at FTCC

The Cumberland County Department of Public Health Environmental Health Division, in partnership with Fayetteville Technical Community College, will host a Food Safety Forum on Aug. 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Culinary Dining Room in the Horace Sisk Building, 2201 Hull Road, on the FTCC Campus.

A diverse group of speakers at this year’s Food Safety Forum will provide information on tapping into water resources, mobile food units, shelled eggs, ServSafe and Managerial Controls and the inspection process. After the panel concludes, participants will have the opportunity to engage in the following interactive food stations:

Station 1: Bread

Station 2: Sushi

Station 3:  Trend Beverages and Labeling

Station 4: Tour of Mobile Food Units

The forum has space for 80 participants. Anyone interested in attending must send an email requesting a space to SDixon@cumberlandcountync.gov.

Participants attending the Food Safety Forum should use parking lots 3 and 20, which are located beside and behind the Culinary Dining Room. Security from FTCC will provide assistance.
