The NC Technology Association (NC TECH) has released its monthly snapshot of available IT positions in the state, broken down in several ways, for the month of July.
According to the data recently published by NC TECH, the Fayetteville MSA showed a four percent increase in job postings for the month of July when comparing this year's job postings with last year’s. While other, larger MSA’s such as Raleigh and Charlotte saw a decrease in IT job postings this July compared to last, Fayetteville stayed in the green displaying the fourth greatest increase out of the 13 MSA’s reported on. Fayetteville recorded 714 IT job postings for July.
“It is great to see the July numbers slightly above June, even if they are down from the record-breaking figures of 2022. They’re heading in the right direction,” said Andrea Fleming, Director, Talent + Workforce Development for NC TECH, in a press release. “Of particular interest is the top ten tech hirers. The majority in the top ten continue to be non-tech companies. This speaks to the strength and diversity of the technology employment opportunities across the state.”
“NC TECH conducts a Quarterly Pulse Survey with leadership across the state,” Fleming continued in a press release. “The second quarter results showed a surprising amount of optimism for the economy with 65 percent responding they expect their business to grow, and to hire in the next quarter. We’ll have to wait and see, but that is another area of positive news for tech employment.”
