Carolina College of Biblical Studies is hosting its 7th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament at Gates Four Golf and Country Club on Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. The player entry fee is $75 and is limited to 108 golfers. Players may register online until Sept. 18. Businesses or individuals who are interested may also participate as a tournament sponsor.
The tournament helps raise funds that provide tuition assistance to deserving students and helps offset the cost of the college’s signature How to Study the Bible course.
CCBS Provost Dr. Chris Dickerson shared in a press release, “The golf tournament is the coming together of students, faculty, alumni, and the community to help students achieve their academic goals. The money raised provides scholarships for students who might not be able to attend otherwise.”
This event brings the community together by allowing local businesses to participate as sponsors.
“Last year, we gave away over $39,000 in scholarships to students. Much of that came because of the tournament. In fact, that’s not even possible without the tournament,” said Dr. Dickerson in a press release.
