Booz Allen Hamilton will host the Veteran Transition to Tech Networking event 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Aug. 4, at Fayetteville Technical Community College’s General Classroom Building.
It is no coincidence that the Veteran Transition to Tech Networking Event will happen directly after FTCC’s annual defense trade show and forum. While the room space is smaller for the Booz Allen Hamilton event, the two events will go hand in hand.
Technology and cybersecurity are booming industries, and in Fayetteville, with its close proximity to Fort Bragg, service members are looking for opportunities after their military careers.
At Booz Allen Hamilton’s event, cohosted by the North Carolina Military Business Center and Fayetteville Technical Community College, attendees can learn about what skills they would need for jobs in technology and cybersecurity.
The event is an ongoing way to create collaborations between N.C. coalitions to help military service members with their transitions to civilian life and to keep them in the area.
In addition to FTCC and Booz Allen Hamilton, attendees will hear from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Hiring Our Heroes president, Fort Bragg’s transition manager and N.C. State’s AI Academy. Wake Technical Community College and Fayetteville State University will be represented as well.
While the event is free and open to the public, registration is preferred. Transitioning service members, military spouses and veterans specifically will see the value in the event.
