Greater Sandhills Chamber Inc. adds three new board members

Mary Jackson, Beth Nyce and Lynndora Thompson have recently been named as new members of the Greater Sandhills Chamber Inc. Board of Directors. Executive Secretary of the Greater Sandhills Chamber Soña Cooper took to social media to introduce the three ladies joining the board.

Mary Jackson

Mary Jackson is a native of Sumter, SC. She graduated from Morris College with a BS in Business Administration, received a Chief Information Officer Certificate from the Information Resource Management College at the National Defense University in Washington, DC and received a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University in Saint Paul, PA.

Ms. Jackson went on to complete 25 years of federal government working with the Department of the Treasury Bureau of the Public Debt. Ms. Jackson is a former member of the Prince Williams Chamber of Commerce and a Charter member of the XI Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Additionally, Ms. Jackson completed the training and took the NC Realtor state exam and is now a licensed real estate broker for NC. 

Beth Nyce

Beth Nyce is a veteran, retail manager and realtor. As a veteran, she has shown dedication, discipline, and a strong work ethic. Her experience as a retail manager, including being the first female manager at Cumberland Pawn and serving as General Manager of Staples, demonstrates her leadership skills and ability to excel in challenging environments. 

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Nyce has made significant contributions to the Spring Lake community through her involvement with the Parks and Recreation Department.  She is currently a local realtor and helps families by offering First Time Home Buyers seminars and believes in helping people navigate the home buying process through guidance and support.

Lynndora Thompson

Lynndora Thompson is a Public Policy Analyst and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist and specializes in social media management and digital content creation. Thompson serves as the 2023-2025 Chair of the Social Action and Political Awareness committee for the Fort Liberty Area Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 

Mrs. Thompson also serves on the Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations Commission (FCHR) which facilitates and advocates for programs, projects, and actions to ensure a better quality of life and the civil and human rights of all citizens, without regard to race, sex, religion, creed, national origin, age, familial status, or disability.
