The Greater Fayetteville Business Journal works hard to keep a finger on the pulse of the real estate industry, which plays an important role in our local community, our state and our country.
On Tuesday, Sept. 26, GFBJ hosted its Power Breakfast, themed “Major Developments,” to highlight the economic impact that the industry has on the region.
The event, held at Cape Fear Botanical Garden, was a huge success, bringing together hundreds of employers, employees and community members for a morning of pleasant cuisine, company and conversation. It is wonderful to see familiar faces as we continue to offer these events as well as new folks whom we gladly welcome to the table.
“[It was a] great time this morning catching up with many of the business leaders in our community! Our panelists did an amazing job,” remarked GFBJ Publisher Marty Cayton following the breakfast.
After the event, attendees were eager to share their thoughts on the Power Breakfast on social media.
“It was a privilege sponsoring the GFBJ's power breakfast this morning at Cape Fear Botanical Garden. Thank you to Marty Cayton for leading a great discussion with Lisa Geddie, Ben Stout, Greg West and Neil Grant on the current state of residential, commercial and industrial real estate in the Fayetteville area and Cumberland County, and what can be done to stimulate future growth,” the Fayetteville Cumberland Economic Development Corporation said in a Facebook post.
The panelists spoke on a range of real estate topics such as how policy makers can effect change that promotes real estate development, the strengths and weaknesses that accompany the real estate market of a military town and the need to not only sell houses but to sell our community as well.
Our next Power Breakfast will be held in December. Details regarding the specific date, location and theme will be announced soon.
The GFBJ team is excited to continue offering opportunities for networking and digging deeper into important topics within the business community. In addition to our quarterly Power Breakfasts, we are expanding our events to include an annual Health Care Heroes awards banquet. The first Health Care Heroes event will take place Nov. 2.
