NC Works Career Center moves to McPherson Church Road in Fayetteville

The Cumberland County NCWorks Career Center has moved to its new location at 490 N. McPherson Church Road, where it is near a FAST bus route.

The NCWorks Career Center at 414 Ray Ave. has been closed, but residents can still contact a live career advisor by visiting online at NCWorks.gov and click on the chat logo at the bottom right side of the webpage.

Formerly known as JobLink and as the Employment Security Commission, The NCWorks Career Center, has served the community at Ray Avenue for more than 30 years.

“The new location will provide a more modern setting for customers and career center employees,” according to a prepared press statement.

Cumberland County NCWorks Career Center provides the following:

Job search and life skills classes
Resume and cover letter preparation
Skills assessment
Career planning and development
Occupational skills training
Literacy skills.

The Cumberland County NCWorks Career Center operates under the administration of Mid-Carolina Council of Governments and is governed by the 21-member Workforce Development Board appointed by the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners.
