The Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity (FAHFH) is bringing the community together to continue to address homelessness with the return of their annual Veteran Build-2023 Event taking place from Nov. 3- Nov. 9 in Fayetteville.
The FAHFA kicked off their 2023 Veterans Build Week of Service on Nov. 3 at 9 a.m. with an opening ceremony at 118 Kirkland Drive. The event brings Veterans, active duty soldiers and civilians together to help build and repair homes of local Veterans.
The Veteran Build-2023 Event is a vital part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to community service, brings together community volunteers, donors, and local businesses to support Veterans through the Veterans Build Home Repairs program and new home construction projects.
The Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity Organization has raised an impressive $15,500 to fund the Veterans Build Week of Service thanks to the generous support of donors and the very impactful support from PNC.
This funding will be instrumental in addressing the needs of 10 Veteran families, particularly focusing on Veteran Critical Home Repairs for residences located on Kirkland Drive and Augusta Drive.
Through this event, FAHFH aims to highlight the challenges faced by many Veterans in acquiring and maintaining stable shelter for themselves and their families. Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Build Week is not just a service week but a call to action for volunteers, Veteran Service Organizations, and philanthropists alike.

By increasing awareness of the challenges faced by veterans and advocating for affordable housing solutions, Habitat for Humanity strives to make homeownership a reality for more veterans in our community.
