By Staff Report, posted Nov 10, 2023 on BizFayetteville.com

The HBAF is hosting a professional development seminar on Dec.14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Highland Country Club.

The topic is The Leadership Challenge; an interactive look at leadership styles.

Based on the Business Week best-seller, The “Leadership Challenge”, participants will identify their preferred leadership type and discuss the strengths of each type as well as ways to best interact with other types of leaders.

Lively discussion and activities will take place around each of the five practices from the Leadership Challenge. Everyone deserves information that drives personalized awareness and instills confidence as they challenge themselves and grow as leaders. This course is aimed at helping participants  to further develop their leadership skills.

While HBAF is organizing the course, this program is being facilitated by the National Association of Home Builders.

“We have heard from past attendees on this topic that greater awareness helps if or when conflict may arise on a team or with colleagues,” shared NAHB ‘Senior Consultant and Advisory Services Member Donna Franza. “One of the things I also like to say is ’Better self-awareness leads to better self-management.' The more I know about my leadership style the better able I am able to get the best out of other leaders and other members of the team.”

The fee for HBAF members is $25 and it is $35 for nonmembers.

Registration is open and can be done here.
