Moore County opens bids for housing rehabilitation project

The Moore County government has opened bidding for an upcoming rehabilitation project.

The County will receive sealed bids for the rehabilitation of three (3) substandard housing units as part of the 2022 Urgent Repair Program funded by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency.

Bidding is open until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, at the Moore County Courthouse Purchasing Department located at 1 Courthouse Square, Carthage, North Carolina.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference with site visits to the homes will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, starting at the Moore County Planning & Inspection Department located at 1048 Carriage Oaks Drive, Carthage, North Carolina.

Moore County is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Small businesses, minority owned businesses, and businesses owned by low and moderate income are encouraged to bid.

Moore County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. Contractor applications and bid packages including floor plans and work write-ups will be available at the Pre-Bid Conference. =Only contractors who visit the homes during the Pre Bid conference will be allowed to bid on the home.

Sealed Bids shall be mailed and/or hand delivered to the Issuing Department shown above, and the envelope shall bear the name and number of this Invitation for Bids. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that its bid reaches the Issuing Department by the designated date and hour indicated above.
