USDA Rural Development invests $2.3 million to assist Sampson Community College

State Director Reginald Speight and members of the North Carolina Rural Development Team will announce USDA Grants with Sampson and Nash Community Colleges, totaling $2.6 million on Nov. 30. 

At 10 a.m. Speight will announce a $2.3 million USDA Community Facilities Grant with Sampson Community College to build a 10-thousand-foot expansion to the school’s activities building. The expansion will be used as a lecture hall and will accommodate courses requiring open floor space for instruction, student events, student activities, intramural sports, graduation exercises and meeting space for business and industry events.

The expansion will allow the college to continue to provide necessary accommodations for students and staff and will also allow for future growth.
