State Director Reginald Speight and members of North Carolina Rural Development Team will announce a USDA Distance Learning Telemedicine Grant with Daymark Recovery Services, on Dec. 11 at 10:00 a.m.
Rural Development is investing $635,000 through a USDA Distance Learning Telemedicine Grant to improve access and quality of care to patients by better equipping physicians to provide additional and improved telehealth services in the areas of both mental health and substance abuse.
The equipment purchased with this grant will be used in 18 sites across 21 rural North Carolina counties.
The announcement event will take place at 5841 US Highway 421 S, in Lillington, North Carolina 27546.
