Robeson County residents can now enjoy dine-in or drive-thru service thanks to the recent opening of a new fast casual chain in Lumberton.
A new DQ Grill & Chill® restaurant opened in Lumberton on Dec. 4. The restaurant celebrated its official grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Dec. 11. Located at 3080 West 5th Street Lumberton, NC, the restaurant is locally owned by Jeet Brahmbhatt, who is supported by his family and Nick Shah in the location’s day-to-day operations.
Jeet and Nick bring a plethora of experience from their family business into their new operations with the Lumberton location. Alongside an additional North Carolina location in Wade having opened in January of 2021, Jeet and Nick own a handful of Fresh Foods grocery stores as well as Atkinson gas stations throughout the state.
“Dairy Queen is a brand that we are truly thrilled to continue growing with,” said Jeet Brahmbhatt in a press release. “It’s been great to connect with surrounding community members through our first location in 2021 and we look forward to seeing this continue with our new restaurant here in Lumberton. We can’t wait to bring more delicious food and new job opportunities to guests throughout the community.”
The DQ Grill & Chill flagship concept offers made-to-order lunch and dinner options including StackBurgers™, Chicken Strip Baskets and hot sandwiches. DQ fans can also enjoy soft-serve favorites such as cones, sundaes and the signature Blizzard® Treat.
