PWC Water Treatment Facilities Manager wins 2023 Educator of the Year award

Fayetteville PWC is offering congratulations to Water Treatment Facilities Manager Jason Green for being awarded the 2023 Educator of the Year award from the N.C. Water Operators Association.

According to a social media post from the company, Green was given this award in recognition of his devotion, leadership, and dedication to the association in teaching NC Waterworks Operators.

The award is open to nominations through the NC Waterworks Operators Association. The Educator of the Year award goes to a nominee who has documented efforts in the area of Operator education, is an engaging and inspiring presence in the area of Operator education, demonstrates outstanding leadership in the area of Operator education and who demonstrates innovativeness with regards to Operator education.

According to the NCWOA, as of November 2023, A few fun facts about Jason Green include: :

● Has been an NCWOA member for 22 years

● Currently NCWOA Nominations Chair

● Currently is Water Treatment Facility Manager

● Member of the Board of Examiners

● Taught classes for Operator Certification and Specialized Training since 2006

● Promotes staff involvement in operator education

● Used personal experiences while instructing to encourage students

● Always receives superior ratings from Regional Schools, Annual Schools, and Specialized Training

● Successfully taught/moderated at NCWOA Inaugural Regional Schools. The schools received great feedback from participating students.

● Always willing to volunteer for instruction - Never says No!

● Every year, Jason teaches multiple classes at the Annual School

● In fact, he has taught nearly every class that relates to water operator education.
