The job fair will be held on Aug. 24 at the Crown.

Just a few weeks ago, community organizations partnered to launch a job fair, set for Aug. 24 at the Crown, to help the hospitality industry combat the staffing shortage; since then, the event has evolved and opened up to allow any registered tourism-visitor entity to participate.

The decision was made to broaden who would be allowed to have a table so more vendors could sign up, Amy Karpinski, director of sports marketing at FACVB said.

“We wanted to be more inclusive of the visitors and tourism facilities in this area," Karpinski said. "They’re all related. They all help each other out.”

The job fair was made possible by Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and their partners for the event, NC Works, the Crown Complex, Greater Fayetteville Chamber and Cool Spring Downtown District.

The job fair will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 24 at the Crown Expo Center. Event officials said they will monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and will follow the Crown’s COVID-19 guidelines on the day of the event.

Businesses may register online to participate.
