The NC Carolina Core is working on a Housing Needs Assessment survey on behalf of NC REALTORS®.

Eleven local real estate associations in the Carolina Core are taking the lead with this assessment.

Zan Monroe of Longleaf Pine REALTORS and Mike Barr of the Greensboro Regional REALTORS Association are leading the effort.

There are two separate surveys: one for employers and one for the public. Anyone in the Carolina Core can fill it out (Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Cumberland, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Person Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Wilkes & Yadkin counties).

The Carolina Core is a 120+ mile stretch of central North Carolina from west of Winston-Salem to Fayetteville encompassing Greensboro and High Point, and is in close proximity to Charlotte and the Research Triangle, all along future Interstate 685. The Core is building a future with a skilled workforce born of a rich manufacturing heritage and fueled by the innovation mindset of more than 30 colleges and universities in the region.

The surveys are online only and take about five minutes to fill out. The information is necessary for these organizations to address current and future housing needs in the region.
