Dinner is served; Bbees Catering dishes out delicious meals in your home and within the community with new food truck

Fans of local food hub Haymount Truck Stop may have seen a new food truck in the lineup. 

Gourmet Galore is a new addition to Fayetteville's food truck scene and is the idea and creation of Fayetteville resident and Chef Brey Walton, the creator and owner of Bbees Catering LLC. 

Walton is a 2019 graduate of Grossmont College's acclaimed culinary art school in San Diego, California. Now, after working for years as a successful caterer for private events and individual bookings, she has moved on to her next step: A food truck to serve the community. 

“I love good quality food, I love fine dining, I love top notch experiences,” shared Chef Brey. “I‘m going to stick with my catering menu and a few other things, but I wanted to do soul food because that’s what I’m best at.” 

With a menu featuring items such as chicken wings, mac and cheese, BBQ meatballs and fried chicken, more unique southern style offerings are available in the form of soul food eggrolls, their signature chicken salad melt and the ever popular sweet glazed salmon.

“It’s not all soul food because I do have sweet glazed salmon and I do zucchini and squash, so the name came when I decided ‘Ok, I need something that sounds fancy.’ It didn’t come overnight though, I was thinking and thinking and thinking forever and then you have that one name that just sticks with you, so that’s how it went for me,” shared Chef Brey. 

The food truck launched officially on Jan. 15 at the Haymount Truck Stop and can now be found at various spots around Fayetteville including the Truck Stop,  Dirtbag Ales and potentially at larger events and venues in the future. 

“I am going to do some festivals, I’m actually signing up for a festival in Laurinburg, NC on March 16. Anubis Hookah Lounge on Ramsey Street, the owner is my friend and he told me I can come whenever, so when it gets warmer I’ll be there on Friday and Saturday sometimes,” shared Chef Brey. “And I have another club owner that’s interested, because after it closes, everyone rushes outside and they go straight to the food truck. And I’m going to add places on the better I get.”
