This Friday, Feb. 16, the Lillington Area Chamber of Commerce will be at Bridany’s Colombian Restaurant for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new restaurant.

Bridany’s Colombian Restaurant, located at 827a S. 8th St. in Lillington, serves authentic Colombian. Juana Vargas-Bornschein opened the restaurant to share her culture with the community.

“My goal is that a lot of people know my roots…that people start to love Colombian food and put the name of my country high,” remarked Juana.

The name of the restaurant was inspired by Juana’s three children, Briana, Daniela and Nicholas.

Some of the menu highlights include guacamole, soup of the day, garlic shrimp, arepas, bandeja and even Colombian coffee. Juana confirmed that all of the ingredients are fresh and each day dishes are prepared fresh.

The restaurant is open six days a week. Tuesday - Thursday hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday the restaurant is open 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays it is open 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Juana says that the response from the people in Lillington has been overwhelmingly positive. “The people here are amazing. We have really good customers,” she shared.
