Longleaf Pine REALTORS Association finishes February with education opportunities

The Longleaf Pine REALTORS Association has two upcoming courses available to local realtors and the community at large. 

A continued education course for NC Agents called “Top Ten Red Flags for Real Estate Professionals” will be coming to the Longleaf REALTORS Association classroom at their headquarters building located at 2412 Raeford Road in Fayetteville, NC. 

By completing this course, licensed agents will better understand 10 of the most common areas of concern addressed by home inspectors. Topics covered include drainage and ground issues, foundation cracks, roof condition, water intrusion, electrical issues and more.

This course, taught by Jorge Felix of National Property Inspections, aims to help to better protect homebuyers, to enhance the agents’ ability to interact with buyers, sellers and inspectors to increase buyer satisfaction with the real estate transaction process. 

The course will take place on Feb. 27 and begin at 9 a.m. It will provide four credit hours of continuing education. Tuition is $25, you can RSVP with Felix directly by calling 910-536-6360 or by emailing him at jorge.felix@npiinspect.com.

Also taking place on Feb. 27, the Longleaf Pine REALTORS® YPN Committee is hosting an intensive educational workshop on Down Payment Assistance Programs available to residents in Fayetteville North Carolina. The group will be discussing the $30,000 Down Payment Assistance Program for the City of Fayetteville & $15,000 Down Payment Assistance Program.

This event will be hosted at the Cumberland County Headquarters Library located in downtown Fayetteville at 300 Maiden Ln. The class will be held in person in the Pate Room from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and is open for anyone in the community to join. 

This is a FREE workshop featuring speaker Bernadine Simmons, community Development Specialist with Fayetteville NC Economic & Community Development Department who will discuss the various intricacies regarding how to move through applying and acquiring down payment assistance.
