Campbell University and Central Carolina Community College have partnered to facilitate a smooth transition process for students who attend the public community college with campuses in Chatham, Harnett and Lee counties.
The Memorandum of Understanding signed by both schools creates and administers on both campuses the Campbell Assured Admission Program, which allows currently enrolled Central Carolina Community College students an “assured entry” pathway to Campbell University upon graduation.
Students who enroll in the free program will receive information about academic programs, and access to faculty and staff at the Campbell campus who will facilitate their transition to Campbell University.
“This agreement exemplifies how well we work together in supporting our communities,” said Central Carolina Community College President Dr. Lisa M. Chapman in a press release. “We know our students will benefit from the specialized advising and access that are provided for in the agreement and we look forward to future accomplishments resulting from the joint efforts of working together.”
This program prioritizes the ability to receive admission, financial aid and orientation communications early in the transfer process.
“Partnerships with other educational institutions are increasingly important in fulfilling Campbell’s mission,” said President J. Bradley Creed in a press release. “Community colleges are strategic allies for achieving our complimentary goals. Central Carolina Community College is a leader within the community college system of North Carolina in workforce and economic development and in providing a pathway to a college degree for students from our region.”
The program requires completion of the associate’s degree from Central Carolina Community College with a college transfer program or an articulated applied program for guaranteed university admission.
