Employees and leaders with Fayetteville based real estate firm ERA Strother danced the night away at their 2023 ERA Strother Awards Ceremony held on Wednesday, March 6, at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden.

A highlight announcement made during the event was that ERA Strother would be moving forward under a new Broker In Charge at their Festival Park location in Fayetteville. Realtor Ricky Evans will be taking on the position.

“ERA Strother is my third stop on my journey in real estate. When I joined ERA Strother, I quickly realized it was unlike many real estate companies, and that this company truly was a company that lives by the motto ‘What can I do for you?’ versus ‘What can you do for us,’” shared Evans in a statement.

“We’ve had several talks about becoming broker in charge and honestly I was nervous at first. I felt like I wasn’t worthy of that role, but Denise felt I had the personality, passion and drive for it. She really has believed in me, and felt that I was the best fit for the position. I was more than happy to accept. So I’m very excited to be able to say that I am the broker In charge of one of the biggest and most successful real estate firms in Fayetteville. I’m excited to get to work and help this company grow. Also, if it wasn’t for my wife, Brittany and my family's support and belief in me, none of this would be possible,” shared Evans.

President and former acting Broker in Charge Hampton Rutledge will be staying on as president.

The same night it was also announced that ERA Strother will be the home to a new Career Development Institute which will be run by Rutledge. More information on that will be coming soon.

Evans began as Broker in Charge on March 6 and looks forward to leading the team in 2024.

“... I’ve got an amazing leadership team that surrounds me with Hampton Rutledge our former broker in charge and Company president, Shane Cox, the broker in charge of our Sanford location and Teraye Tatum who is our assistant manager for both locations who I say is our girl because if there’s anything to be known- that’s our go-to girl for sure! All I can say is that I thank God and our leadership at ERA for this opportunity,” concluded Evans.
