Certified physician assistant Aubrey Kinsman, who has worked with heart patients at FirstHealth since 2017, is joining the staff at the Heart Failure Clinic at Reid Heart Center.
Kinsman has more than a decade of health care experience after earning her Bachelor of Science
in Physician Assistant Studies in 2008 at Hofstra University. After working with cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients at FirstHealth since 2017, Kinsman said she is excited to help patients at the Heart Failure Clinic.
“I have been a physician assistant for about 15 years now and I have always enjoyed working in
heart services. Heart failure patients are an extremely special group who tend to be complex and
challenging,” she said in a press release. “What makes caring for heart failure patients exciting to me is that there are a lot of times when you can make a drastic improvement to their daily life. You get to follow up with them frequently and can closely monitor their progress and see their strides and the improvements.”
FirstHealth opened its Heart Failure Clinic in early 2020. The goal of the clinic is to minimize rehospitalization, reduce mortality and improve the quality of life for patients with heart failure.
