Moore Regional achieves SRC’s Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery Accreditation

FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has been accredited by SRC as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery.
Health care facilities and surgeons seeking an SRC accreditation undergo an extensive assessment and inspection process to ensure the applicant meets SRC’s proven standards and requirements. These requirements include surgical volumes, facility equipment, clinical pathways and standardized operating procedures, an emphasis on patient education and continuous quality assessment.
Inspectors educate staff in the accredited departments on best practices to aid an organization in improving its care and services.
“Our robotic surgery program is committed to providing high-quality care in a safe environment, and this accreditation is a testament to the providers and nurses who help us deliver on this promise each day,” Wayne McFatter, R.N, MSN, CNOR, RNFA, executive director of surgical service, said in a press release. “There are many benefits of robotic surgery, including less pain, less scarring, shorter recovery and a faster return to normal activities.”
The accreditation demonstrates FirstHealth’s commitment to high-quality robotic surgical care and patient safety.

Pratt, CEO of SRC, in a press release. “This accreditation signals that this facility is among the best in this specialty and is dedicated to delivering the highest level of care possible.”
