Wawa hosts three-stop Community Partnership Tour in North Carolina; stop planned for Fayetteville on May 15

Wawa Inc., a privately held, family-owned chain of over 1,050 convenience retail stores, is hosting a three-stop Community Partnership Tour in Wilmington, Jacksonville and Fayetteville, NC to continue to introduce itself to the North Carolina community and share more details about its expansion plans. 

Its third stop will be hosted at Segra Stadium located at 460 Hay Street in downtown Fayetteville on Wednesday, May 15, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. The introduction includes community support, a preview of locations and taste of Wawa. 

Featuring guests such as Wawa President Brian Schaller, Wawa Director of Store Operations Kim Dowgielewicz and Wawa Area Manager Blake Loper, the Wawa team will provide an update on sites in the region, general timeframes for construction and market projections.

During the event, Wawa leadership will also share details about the economic impact of expansion, the Wawa story and Wawa’s unique offering. Wawa will also kick off its long-term commitment to the local community by announcing its support of local non-profit partners. Representatives from USO of North Carolina are also expected to be in attendance along with VIP customers and Wawa’s mascot, Wally Goose. 

Wawa is currently operating in seven states and Washington, D.C. and “is thrilled to be spreading its wings and flying into North Carolina communities!  Wawa looks forward to sharing more details on locations, expansion plans, community investment and timeline to opening its doors to new friends as well as sharing its core purpose of Fulfilling Lives, Every Day through its unique offering of food, fuel and convenience services,” according to a release sent by the company.
