The Cumberland County Department of Public Health Environmental Health Division, in partnership with Fayetteville Technical Community College Culinary Arts Department, will host the fifth annual Food Safety Forum Aug. 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Culinary Dining Room of the Horace Sisk Building, 2201 Hull Road, on the campus of FTCC.
A diverse group of speakers at the 2024 Food Safety Forum will provide information on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans, fire safety in foodservice establishments, pest management, high risk manufactured foods, allergen control, a handwashing activity and other topics of interest. Participants will also have an opportunity to engage in interactive food stations:
Station 1: Sushi
Station 2: Making Pasta from Scratch
Station 3: Trend Beverages and Labeling
Station 4: Tour of Mobile Food Units
The 2024 Food Safety Forum has space for 80 participants. There is no cost to attend the forum; however, registration is required. To register send an email requesting to attend the forum to tfavors@cumberlandcountync.gov.
Participants attending the Food Safety Forum should use parking Lots 3 and 20, which are located beside and behind the Culinary Dining Room at 2201 Hull Road, Fayetteville.
