DANC’s Tammy Everett featured in Women to KNOW in NC 2024

The Defense Alliance of North Carolina is celebrating a recent achievement of their Executive Director Tammy Everett after she was named as one of the 100 Women To Know in North Carolina 2024.

“Since 2015, Tammy has been a dynamic force in executive leadership, managing operations, finances, membership, and event planning for the Defense Alliance of North Carolina (DANC). This non-profit powerhouse supports NC’s military, business, and academic communities,” reads a portion of Everett’s feature article.

The 100 Women to KNOW In America Award, presented by J.P. Morgan Chase is a recognition that showcases the most influential, achieved and honorable women in our society. Each winner goes through a process including a nomination and interview with a panel before being selected.

Qualifications include:

Having at least 10 years of professional experience
Being a woman who owns, manages and controls the business with a partner, and you own at least 33% of the business
Currently serving in the C-Suite as an executive for your employer
Have made notable advances for women through community impact, activism, or philanthropy.

Nominations are carefully reviewed, considering factors such as professional achievements, leadership qualities, impact on their respective fields, and contributions to their communities. The selection process for the 100 Women to KNOW in America Award is both rigorous and selective, ensuring that only the most exemplary candidates are chosen for this prestigious recognition.

During the interviews, nominees are asked thought-provoking questions designed to gauge their passion, resilience, and commitment to excellence. The panel of judges assesses each nominee’s responses, looking for individuals who not only demonstrate exceptional accomplishments but also embody the values and principles championed by KNOW Women including career achievements, community impact, and the greater mission of supporting women.

The final list of 100 Women to KNOW represents a diverse array of talents, perspectives, and achievements, reflecting the rich tapestry of female excellence in America. These women exemplify what it means to be high-achieving and ambitious on the next level and continue to pour into their communities as they do so.

Award winners receive recognition globally. Every winner and finalist is profiled in the summer publication of KNOW Woman magazine.
