DSF Restaurant & Bar opening Aug. 23 in downtown Fayetteville

DSF Restaurant & Bar is the latest business to join Fayetteville’s bustling downtown. This family owned restaurant is eager to begin serving the community.

“We both grew up here from young ages and watched the city change, and we see it growing now, and we’re like, this is the perfect time to get started,” shared one of the owners, who for the purpose of this article has requested to remain anonymous.

DSF, which stands for "Down South Family," will offer soul food with an elegant twist. Customers can enjoy fried chicken, chicken and waffles, baked macaroni, collard greens and more southern staples. The location offers a full service, dine in restaurant with a full bar and patio seating as well. 

The restaurant is located at 106 Person Street in downtown Fayetteville. The couple were interested in opening up in downtown after witnessing the area’s remarkable revitalization. 

“It’s just a really friendly neighborhood. We wanted to be a part of everything that takes place downtown, and Person Street was the place for us,” added the owner. 

The restaurant is still looking to add a few more staff members to the team and are interested in hiring people with previous restaurant experience. 

The grand opening is scheduled for this Friday, Aug. 23. The restaurant's operating hours will be 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
