Sampson County bridge closed for maintenance; closure expected to start Aug. 26

A section of Green Path Road in Sampson County is scheduled to be closed for a few days next week.

The road near Phillips Road will be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. Monday and 5 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting. Crews with the Sampson County maintenance office will conduct some maintenance to the bridge over Starlins Swamp.

Drivers will be detoured onto Phillips, Aman Dairy and North Spring Branch roads. This detour may make the commute for drivers longer than normal, so they should plan ahead. NCDOT also encourages drivers to be alert if traveling near the work zone.
