Lumbee Guaranty Bank (LGB) has officially welcomed the community into its now single Fayetteville location at 2939 Village Drive. The new location along what is known as “Banking Road” due to the amount of banks along the road, is the consolidation of LGB’s previous locations in downtown Fayetteville and in Hope Mills.
Now, following a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, the new location is ready to serve the Fayetteville market in a more central area.
“This branch represents the next step for our bank here in Fayetteville and Cumberland County,” shared LGB CEO Kyle Chavis. “But our new office here on Village Drive is the result of a strategic decision to consolidate the Hope Mills and Hay Street branches into one location that offers better ease of access and greater convenience to our growing customer base in this market. We realize that Fayetteville presents a tremendous growth opportunity for us, and we want to continue to build on the success that we’ve already had here in Cumberland County.”
After introducing those gathered to staff members for the new location, LGB Chairwoman of the Board Sybil Bullard shared some history of the bank and its goals to those gathered.
“We’re excited to be here at Village Drive and to be part of this community. We look forward to the opportunities to get to know you as we explore your banking needs with the ultimate goal of helping this community to continue to grow and thrive,” shared Bullard.
To wrap up the ceremony, LGB held a check presentation ceremony to showcase its investment in the community. Three organizations: The Cape Fear Health Foundation, the Fayetteville Animal Protection Society and the Fayetteville Firefighters Benevolent Association were all gifted $1,000 checks to use for their organizations.
The ceremony ended with food, networking and an opportunity to tour the new facility.
The Lumbee Guaranty Bank Village Drive location is open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.
